What is a pre-order item?

Pre-order items are products listed on TheBunBunShop that aren’t yet available. They can be purchased from the shop before their official release, giving you a guarantee of receiving the item in the near future. Pre-order items are marked as such and come with a waiting time that might vary. Pre-order timelines for all our items are can be found in Pre-order Updates:

  • Pre-ordering guarantees you the item in the near future.
  • Pre-order items come with a pre-order discount as a thank you for supporting us in advance.
  • Funds collected through pre-orders are used for the bulk production of that item only.
  • Pre-orders can be refunded at any time before shipping. Please reach out to us via our contact form.

Why order a pre-order item?

Since we are a small business, offering our customers the option to pre-order an item, allows us to gauge customer interest for a certain product and determine what quantity we should order from our manufacturer.
Pre-orders are often the reason that we, as a business, can afford production for bigger and more expensive items. Production for items like bags, plushies and blankets can be very costly and pre-order customers help us cover a part of those production costs ahead of time. Pre-ordering is more environmentally friendly as pre-orders they help us to not over-produce or over-stock on products, that don’t have large customer interest.
Our pre-order customers have placed their trust in us and given us the opportunity to grow and experiment with new designs and collections. Without them we wouldn’t be able to produce a lot of the items you see in our shop.

When should I pre-order an item?

You should consider pre-ordering, if:

  • You want to support the production of the item.
  • You want the cheapest price! All pre-orders come with a discount.
  • You don’t mind waiting a few weeks/months for the item to arrive.
  • You enjoy supporting small businesses.
You should not pre-order, if:
  • You don’t want to wait for the item to be produced.
  • The item is supposed to be a birthday/anniversary gift or needs to be in your hands at a specific date. While we try our best to uphold our shipping dates, all pre-order timelines are estimates and we can’t guarantee an exact delivery date!
  • You feel like you do not have the financial means to support the project comfortably. There is nothing wrong in waiting or saving up for a later date.
